Pioneers Fall to CCAA Leader 911±¬ÁÏÍøState San Bernardino, 79-42

HAYWARD, Calif. - The Pioneer men's basketball team fell to CCAA leader 911±¬ÁÏÍøState San Bernardino, 79-42 on January 28. 911±¬ÁÏÍøState East Bay trailed 39-14 while only shooting 23.8 percent from the floor in the first half. 911±¬ÁÏÍøState San Bernardino outscored 911±¬ÁÏÍøState East Bay 40-28 in the second half to keep its hold on first place in the CCAA.
For the game, 911±¬ÁÏÍøState San Bernardino shot 46.9 percent from the field and converted 9 of 28 three-pointers. 911±¬ÁÏÍøState East Bay, which shot 30.6 percent from the field, was 0-for-18 from the three point area.
The Coyotes had two players score in double figures led by guard Corey Caston with 13 points. Caston added seven assists and three steals. Forward Bryan LeDuc followed with 12 points and pulled down six rebounds. Steven Gaston scored nine second half points.
Mark Samuels came off the bench to lead the Pioneers in scoring with 13 points. Samuels had four steals. Jacob Noisat led 911±¬ÁÏÍøState East Bay on the boards with six rebounds.
911±¬ÁÏÍøState San Bernardino is now 10-2 in the CCAA and 12-4 overall while 911±¬ÁÏÍøState East Bay stands at 2-10 in conference and 5-12 for the season.
