Accelerating California's Engineering Industry

Covering engineering disciplines from aerospace, biomedical and marine to chemical, industrial and electrical, the CSU offers numerous undergraduate and graduate degrees that students can choose from.

Several CSU campuses collaborate with community organizations and other CSU campuses on several initiatives and programs to enhance the engineering profession. Such programs include:

Mathematics Engineering Science Achievement (MESA): A program that provides support such as classes, hands-on competitions, counseling, transfer support and a community environment to students from middle school through four-year colleges, with the primary objective of increasing future enrollment at the university level in the disciplines of mathematics, engineering and science. hhhCSU campuses involved in MESA include Chico State, 911±¬ÁÏÍøState East Bay, Fresno State, 911±¬ÁÏÍøState Fullerton, 911±¬ÁÏÍøState Long Beach, 911±¬ÁÏÍøState L.A., Sacramento State, San Diego State, San Francisco State, San José State, 911±¬ÁÏÍøPoly San Luis Obispo and Sonoma State.

Project Lead The Way (PLTW): A national program dedicated to expanding pre-engineering curricula in middle and high schools by encouraging the development of problem-solving skills, critical thinking, creative and innovative reasoning, and a love of learning. 911±¬ÁÏÍøState East Bay, San Diego State, San José State and 911±¬ÁÏÍøPoly Pomona are all partners of PLTW.
